Installing Prole
Prole isn’t notarized by Apple yet, so macOS needs a quick one-time OK the first time you open it. Here’s how.
-
Open the download. Double-click
Prole.dmg, then drag Prole into your Applications folder. -
Open it the first time. In Applications, right-click (or Control-click)
Prole and choose Open, then confirm. You only do this once.
Prefer the terminal? Run:then open it normally.
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Prole.app - Turn on Screen Recording. The first time you capture, macOS asks for permission. Enable Prole under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording, then reopen Prole if it asks.
